The Newport 33 is a 33ft Retro Classic cruiser with hints of North American Maine "down-east lobster boat" lines. The Newport 33 combines old world craftsmanship to "Yacht" standards with solid glass below waterline and the latest E-Glass cloths and high temperature Diab foam. The hull core is resin infused for strict weight control to offset the weight of luxurious amounts of Teak for connoisseurs of traditional maritime joinery which is what the picnic boaters are passionate about. This model was designed by Adventure Bay Motoryachts to suit the Kiwi lifestyle of in and out of water activities. The hull is from a mould Activa Marine had used to produce many vessels for what they described as "crazy Japanese sport fishermen who wanted go out in any weather". Long keel and prop protection for adventurous rough water types. Demo boat reaches around 18 kts with 370hp Yanmar and full keel. The walk-around bow with seat is a great safety feature for families and fishermen alike and eliminates the bow rail for a very clean look to the bow and less bow weight. The cockpit is kept free for fishing and the outdoor dinette features double swing back Springfield seats. Each side can reverse independently. The helm can reverse when at anchor for dining and the aft bench of the dinette can reverse for facing aft to watch the lures towing. The dinette table drops down for an extra 2 berths to make a 6-berth 33ft boat. The transom features an oval bait tank for fishing or icebox and sink. The 4 berth teak lined cabin features leather seating, 2 double berths with Manship stainless portholes and Hella fans, a stand-up head and full headroom galley with granite top, a fridge and icebox, 2 burner stove and sink. Entertainment is from a 15"LCD/DVD/CD combo TV and Panasonic sound system. Hella LED lighting along with a Victron Inverter/Charger and BEP switch panels ensure top quality electrics. The demonstrator has teak-work which is lavishly applied to the windscreen rail, transom, cap rails and decks. Vetus rope belting has been used for classic fisherman styling and to eliminate the problem of stainless beltings getting scratched on hard wharf or marina piles. | ||
